Julius Emmrich

Julius Emmrich is a physician, researcher, and social entrepreneur based in Berlin, Germany. He holds a Master of Philosophy in Biological Science from the University of Cambridge, UK, and an MD/PhD from the University of Leipzig, Germany and the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, USA. Julius is Assistant Professor at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin and serves as a research group leader at Heidelberg University and the Global Digital Health Lab at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin. Julius is a co-founder and CEO of Elucid. He is also the co-founder of the non-profit social enterprise mTOMADY, a health financing platform, and the NGO Doctors for Madagascar, that has impacted over 5 million lives in the last 15 years. Throughout his career, Julius has been recognized for his contributions to science and social entrepreneurship, receiving multiple scholarships and awards.

Ines Kaempfer

Ines Kaempfer is the CEO of The Centre for Child Rights and Business (The Centre), a civil society organisation that works with companies to promote and respect children’s rights in all their operations, with a particular focus on supply chains. The Centre helps businesses understand how and where they impact children and delivers practical solutions and services for mitigating risks and creating positive change.  These services include child labour prevention and remediation, child rights risk assessments, packages to support women, migrant parent workers, young workers and other vulnerable groups, and a comprehensive set of services to create family-friendly workplaces in supply chains. The Centre supports businesses across multiple industry sectors in close to a dozen Asian countries, with staff and projects also located in Africa, Australia, Europe and The Americas.

Hugh Brown

Hugh Brown is a documentary mining photographer based in Australia. Having traveled to 30 countries and counting, working through countries such as the DRC, Mali, Pakistan, India, Bolivia, and Papua New Guinea, his hope is to expose the world to a much bigger and different world from the one that we had been exposed to.

His work has been exhibited internationally with major exhibitions in South Africa and China. To find out more about his work, check out his website.

Andy Weinzierl

Andy Weinzierl, 27, is the founder of SUSHI BIKES, a start-up that aims to bring affordable and stylish e-bikes to the streets, improving tomorrow’s mobility. He trained as a mechanic, then studied industrial engineering in Munich and completed his master’s degree in Technology Management at the University College London. At 16, he founded an online magazine for up-and-coming journalists. Four years later, he built up an influencer marketing platform and gained parallel experience at companies such as BMW, Allianz, Fraunhofer, and Porsche.
